Janet Lynn Elker, 75 of Louisville, KY transitioned to Heaven on Sunday, February 22, 2026 at U of L, South Hospital. Janet was retired from Yum Brands where she worked in Telecommunications and later retired again from Landrum & Shouse Law Firm. Most recently, Janet enjoyed managing her two booths at the Peddler’s Mall and selling items on eBay. Lovingly known to some as “Little Birdie” she was bold in spirit, rich in love, and impossible to replace.
She was preceded in death by her brother Larry Fentress, husband Charlie Elker, grandson Chance Rademaker, and stepson Brian Elker. Janet is survived by her two sons, Mark Rademaker (Erin), Sean Rademaker (Susan), stepson Jason Elker (Jennifer Hill), her significant other, Stephen Duvall and his sons Travis Duvall (Katie) and Shawn Duvall (Jorden). She is also survived by her grandchildren whom she treasures, Trevor Rademaker (Jordan), Lauren Rademaker (Nick Richmond), Miranda Cummings (William), Tyler Murrell, Taylor Rademaker, and Will, Emma, Olenna, and Nova Duvall. In addition, she leaves behind seven precious great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 3, 2026 from 11am to 2pm at Arch L Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road, 40218.
A funeral service will follow at the same location in the chapel beginning at 2pm.
