Jeanette Rose Evans

Jeanette Rose Evans, 92, of Louisville, passed away peacefully on August 18, 2023 at her home in Symphony at Valley Farms. She retired at age 86 after working as a paralegal for 70 years for Tony Rives and David Dulworth.

Her love for many was evident. She loved her family and friends dearly never forgetting anyone’s birthdays. Jeanette was an avid reader, a proud democrat, and was known as the crazy cat lady to her neighbors. She loved traveling, especially to visit her sister Ruth in Canada, and had fond memories of her trip to Ireland.

Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents Ella and Chester Evans; brother William Evans (Elnora); sisters Ruth Hunter (Jack), Vera Mason (Bill), and sister-in-law Doris Evans; niece Nancy Harms; nephews Dennis Mason, Michael Evans, and Stephen Evans.

She is survived by her brother Chester Evans; nieces Sandy Kuerzi, Judy Elmore; nephews Gary Hunter, Keith Mason, and Bruce Evans; 19 great, 40 great great, and 2 great great great nieces and nephews; and her cherished childhood friends Kay and Martha Manger.

The family would like to extend our deep love and appreciation to her second family, the staff and residents of Symphony at Valley Farms, for their beautiful care, faith, and friendship over the past 6 months.

Jeanette’s visitation will be held on Thursday August 24, 2023 from 10AM-12PM at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Funeral Home 4400 Bardstown Road Louisville, Kentucky 40218. A funeral service will follow at 12PM.
