Jeanne built a beautiful life defined by love, loyalty, and compassion. She shared more than 33 wonderful years of marriage with her husband, Bobby, with 14 years spent together before that. She was a devoted mother to her two children, Ashley and Wade, and the proudest grandma to her three grandchildren—Allabelle, Oakland, and Ellowyn—who brought endless joy to her. Jeanne also leaves behind her cherished “fur babies”, Miller, Lola, and Lillee, who were constant companions and sources of comfort.
She was a beloved sister, aunt, niece, coworker, and friend to many. Jeanne graduated from Iroquois High School in 1974. She worked as a hostess at Derby Dinner Playhouse before dedicating more than 20 years of service to UPS, where she formed lasting friendships and earned the respect of her colleagues.
Back in the day, she would be down for anything and loved to host cookouts at her home. For years she cherished spending an annual vacation in Daytona Beach with her family. She worked third shift for many years so she could dedicate the daytime to being an active part of her children’s childhood, whether it was taking the kids to the zoo or volunteering to help with school field trips and activities. Margarita Monday was a staple in her house, and for years you could find her and Bobby at El Nopal every Monday night enjoying dinner and a few margaritas. After retiring, she turned into a homebody and loved to spend her days sitting on the back porch watching the birds and listening to music. She’d stay in cozy pajamas all day and catch up with her friends chit chatting.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 28, at Evergreen Funeral Home (4623 Preston Hwy, Louisville, KY 40213) from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., with a celebration dinner to follow.
Family and friends are invited to come together to honor Jeanne’s life, share stories, and celebrate the love she gave so freely.
