

Jeffery Mark "Chico" Clifton, 51, of Louisville, passed away Monday, March 29, 2010 after a long battle with kidney disease. Jeff entertained karaoke crowds as a singer and DJ, was a graduate of Atherton High School, and an avid Louisville Cardinals fan.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Irvin T. and Bessie Browne; his mother, Dorothy Cline; and his brother, Otis H. Edlin, Jr.
Survivors include his wife, Karen Bates; stepchildren, Kevin Bates(Jeri) and Heather Bates(Robert); grandchildren, Danielle Bates and Robert and Haley Thacker; siblings, Richard Edlin(Doris), Shirley Edlin(Judy), Jimmy Edlin(Janet), and Jack Clifton(Susan); and nieces and nephews.
A memorial service to celebrate Jeff's life will be held at 6pm Friday at Arch L. Heady Russman & Sons Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 1201 E. Oak St. Louisville, KY 40204. Friends are welcome to arrive at 5:30pm Friday and visit with the family until 8pm after the service.
The family suggests memorial donations be made to his wife, Karen Bates. The family would also like to express a special thank you to the medical staff of DSI Dialysis Center and Jewish Hospital.
