

Jennifer (Jenni) Lynn Heck, age 59, passed away on May 23, 2025. She was born in Louisville on June 10, 1965, the daughter of Herbert and Margaret (Peggy) Heck. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by brothers Terry Heck (Charlotte) and Jeffrey Heck (Anita) and sister Wendy Welsh (John), nephew Gregory Heck (Kelly), niece Chloe Heck, nephew Bryce Heck and great-nephew Dylan Heck, along with numerous cousins.
Jenni was a graduate of the University of Louisville with a degree in Business Administration majoring in Marketing. Jenni also has a degree from Johnson Bible College in Knoxville, Tennessee with a degree in Bible Study and a minor in Disability Ministry. Jenni was employed at Goodwill Industries in the Communications Department. She also did freelance graphic design and communications. Jenni was an avid writer. She wrote many articles and published 3 books. Jenni was a member of Southeast Christian Church.
Jenni was born with cerebral palsy, but she never let it define her life. She was an active participant in school activities, learned to drive a car, lived on her own and went skydiving on numerous occasions. Jenni enjoyed participating in Bible Study and had a wide circle of friends. Jenni faced many challenges in her life. She always had a positive attitude and was grateful for the things that she could do in her life. Jenni has been and will be an inspiration to many people.
A celebration of Jenni’s life will be held on Tuesday May 27, 2025 at Evergreen Funeral Home and Cemetery, 4623 Preston Highway, Louisville, KY in a joint service for her mother, Margaret (Peggy) Heck, who passed away on May 19, 2025. Visitation will be between 11 to 3PM with the service following at 3PM.
The family would like to thank the staff at Hosparus and Norton Healthcare Pavilion for the care they supplied to Jenni and for the family support. The family asks that expressions of sympathy be made in the form of a donation to Johnson University for the Herbert and Margaret Heck Scholarship Fund.
