He was an outstanding individual who we would have followed anywhere.     Set a great example for all of us to follow and we were fortunate to have served with him, to have known him was a treasure indeed.  All the way and then some  First Sergeant Rock, may you rest in peace and be long remembered.

He was my 1st.Sgt in Panama 83-85,, Had the highest respect for him Airborne 1st Sgt., Ride your wings high in Heaven..

I served under CSM Rock at the NCO Academy at Fort Campbell.  He was a good man and one of the very best Sergeants Major I had the pleasure to know.  So sorry to learn of his early passing.

For myself, and on behalf of all his fellow Co. O (Arctic Rangers) 75th Infantry 1970-1972, Ft. Richardson, Alaska, I wish to express the deepest sympathies and condolences to Jerry's Family. We were in the Arctic Rangers together, and we all will miss him a great deal. Your on eternal patrol now Rock. God Bless you and your family.

So sorry that Jerry had to suffer so much before leaving us.  We are glad we have gotten to know both Jerry and Cheri and enjoyed Jerry's comments and input in Bible Study Class at Highview.  The best is yet to come and Jerry is experiencing that as I write this note.  Take care Cheri and hope to see you soon.

My condolences to the Rock Fanily. I have known Jerry for most of my life and he will be greatly missed.

My deepest sympathy to all you.  I was a member of the Rock family for 29 years and spent many holidays/occassions with Jerry and his family. Jerry was always very kind to me.  I will always remember him as "Superman" as my kids, Stephanie and David always thought he looked like Clark Kent.  I will always cherish his memory and the emails we've shared over the past few months.
