Jerry W. Steele, 73, with the guideness of God’s hand and the unselfish love of his family entered eternal life on Saturday September 10, 2016. He is survived by his bride of 50 years, Barbara; beloved sons, Chad (Marcia), Tim and daughter in-law, Marsha Steele Giles; the center of his world his grandchildren, Chaz (Shelbie), Alec (Baylee), Max, Gwen, and recent extension of his world great grandchildren, Jayden and Sloane; his grand friends, Finn, Oz and Cloe; and his loving brother Bobby. A service to celebrate Jerry’s life will be held at noon Saturday at the Southern Chapel of Arch L. Heady & Son, 3601 Taylor Blvd. with entombment to follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-8 pm Friday. In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made to the reason he wanted to grow old. They can be made to the Grandchildren Love Fund.
