Jewell Heath Carey, 77, of Ekron, Kentucky, passed away November 22, 2015. She was born January 7, 1938 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Fred and Rena Heath. Jewell was a Kentucky Colonel, a member of the Valley Chapter #65 Order of the Eastern Star, and Past President of the Kentuckiana Square Dance Association. She is survived by her husband, Otis Carey; her loving daughter and son-in-law, Leisha and Dale Roberts; grandchildren, Jason Roberts and his wife, Cassie, Jessica Roberts, and Jareth Roberts and his fiancé, Lauren Brooks. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her infant brother. Funeral service will be 2pm Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at Evergreen Funeral Home with interment in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8pm Tuesday.
