Jewell Dean Powers, 75, died Thursday, June 30, 2016 in the comfort of her home. She was born January 8, 1941 in Rome, Alabama to the late Clarence and Clessie Jo (King) Wilson. She is also preceded in death by her sister, Helen. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great grandmother.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, William Powers Jr., her children, Mark Powers (Jane), Timothy Powers, Tammy Embrey, Steven Powers (Cathy), and Bo Powers (Liz); 10 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters Shirley and Delores.
Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm Tuesday at Arch L. Heady and Son Southern Funeral Home, 3601 Taylor Blvd. Louisville, Kentucky 40215. Her funeral service will be 11:00 am Wednesday at the funeral home chapel with burial to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park in Louisville, Kentucky.
