Mr. Stafford was a retired employee of the Louisville Water Company and a World War II Marine veteran.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Elsie Mae Stafford.
Survivors include nieces, Teresa Strane, Gloria Williams, Deborah Ray, Margaret Grace, Linda Jenkins and numerous great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. on Monday at Evergreen Funeral Home. Visitation will be 3-7 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Kentucky Humane Society.
