Jimmy Ray Overstreet, 72, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away, Tuesday, February 18, 2019. Jimmy proudly served his country in the United States Army in the Vietnam War, where he was awarded two Purple Hearts. He also worked in production at Johnson Controls for twenty-four years.
His parents, Erastus and Ruby Overstreet, brother, Jackie Overstreet and sister, Judy Wilson, precede Jimmy in death.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 40 years, Pat Briner, daughters, Jennifer Flynn, Christa Bair(Steven), grandchildren, Faith, Grace & Hanah Flynn, Addison, Ashton and Avery Bair, sisters, Nina Cundiff(Jimmy), Patsy Overstreet(Mark), Jerry Overstreet, Timmy Overstreet(Carmella), and a host of many other family and friends.
A funeral service to celebrate the life of Jimmy, will be held Monday, February 25, 2019 at 11am in the chapel of Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home, 8519 Preston Hwy. Louisville, Kentucky 40219, with burial to follow at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery in Radcliff, Kentucky. Visitation will be Sunday from 2-8pm at the funeral home.
