She was a member at Church of the Ascension. Some of her favorite things to do were working jig saw puzzles, seek and find puzzles, or playing BINGO!
Preceding her in passing are her parents, Mary and Joseph Lyon, siblings; Margaret Ann “Peggy” French, Charles William Lyons, Frances “Sissy” Rodkey, and Mary “Eva” Lyon Blanford and her husband of 61 years, Edwin “Bobby” Alvey.
Mrs. Alvey is survived by her siblings; Joseph Alvin “ Bub” Lyon, Jr., Henry B. Lyon, Sr. (Deanna), Tom Lyons (Barbara), and Jim Lyon (Eva), twelve nephews, eleven nieces, and many great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 from 11 AM - 2PM. Funeral Service will start at 2:00 PM.
Johanna will be laid to rest in Resthaven Memorial Park, 4400 Bardstown Road Louisville, KY 40218.
