He was a retired carpenter for Scheirich Cabinet Company. Mr. Fox was a member of the Chapel Park Baptist Church and the Long Run Baptist Association.
He was preceded in rest by his wife, Mildred Fox.
Mr. Fox is survived by three daughters, Katherine L. Kinman (Bill), Gloria J. Davison, Diane G. Cummings (Mike); a son, John W. Fox, Jr. (Jean); six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Dorothy Daiker.
His funeral will be on Saturday, January 17th, at noon at the Heady-Hardy Funeral Home, 7710 Dixie Highway. Interment will be in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be Friday from 3pm-8pm.
