He was a member of South East Christian Church and a Senior Software Engineer with Halfaker and Associates.
John is preceded in death by his father; John S. Giles and mother-in-law; Norma Campbell.
He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years; Saundra Giles, children; Jennifer Applegate (Clay), Stephanie Giles, granddaughter; Kayley Applegate, mother; Doris Giles, sister; Kathryn Giles, father-in-law; Roger Campbell. He is also survived by brother-in-laws and sister- in- laws a nephew and many friends.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, October 17, 2011 in the chapel of Arch L. Heady at Resthaven 4400 Bardstown Road, with interment to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be held Sunday October 16, 2011 from 3-8 p.m. and after 9 a.m. the day of the service.
