John A Rice "Jack", 84. Passed away Saturday, August 13th. He was a graduate of Flaget High School, Bellarmine University and Indiana University Southeast. He was a Naval veteran of the Korean War. He retired from the US Postal Service after 31 years. He is survived by the Love of his life, his wife, Linda ("Ole Shug"); son, Tommy Rice (Traci); daughters, Robin Harley (Jay), Judy Barnes (Danny), and Lisa Springer (Jay); grandchildren, Christopher Rice; Chris, Adam & Josh Barnes; Brian & Rachel Meredith; and Erin Patel; and 9 great grandchildren. A funeral mass will be held 11am Thursday, August 18th at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 11501 Maple Way, Louisville, KY 40229. Entombment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 17th from 2-8pm at Arch L. Heady & Son, 8519 Preston Hwy. Memorial contributions may be made to Rett Syndrome.
