He was a member of St. Martha Catholic Church, a U.S. Coast Guard veteran and an avid sports fan who enjoyed coaching softball. He loved spending time at his lake home enjoying the outdoors.
John is preceded in death by his siblings: Roger Williams, James “Bud” Williams and Elsie Thornbury.
He is survived by his wife of fifty-eight years: Millie Williams, their children, Scott Williams, Tracy Adams (Chuck), Dee Chandler (Billy), Laurie Haun (Miles), Grandchildren, Chris (Shannon), Bethany, Kimberly, Jennifer (Grant) and Kevin, a brother, Bob Williams (Dianne) and John’s loyal golden retriever Buddy.
A Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate John’s life will be conducted at 10am on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at St. Martha Catholic Church, 2825 Klondike Lane, Louisville KY 40218 with interment to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Friends are invited to attend a visitation from 2-8pm on Friday, May 29, 2015 at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Rd.
