Joseph was born on August 29, 1950 in Louisville, Kentucky.
Joseph was a police officer for Louisville Police Department, and he retired after 28 years of dedicated service to the Louisville Police Department. He was a member of the FOP, Lodge 6 and a member of The Louisville Police Association.
He is preceded in death by his father, John Carroll; mother, Marjorie Sherrard; step-father, James Sherrard; sister, Nancy Curtis and nephew, Donnie Curtis.
Left to cherish Joseph's memory is his loving wife of 46 years, Betty Carroll; daughters, Melissa Jo "Missy Jo" Morgan (Dave), Janet Chambers (Donnie); brothers, Ronnie Carroll (Brenda), Paul Carroll (Carol); grandchildren, Ally Jo Morgan, Katie Morgan, Rodney Schmidt (Holli), Laura Haynes (Nick), Joey Chambers and his great-grandchildren.
A visitation for Joseph will be held on Friday, April 14, 2023 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Evergreen Funeral Home, 4623 Preston Highway, Louisville, Kentucky 40213. A service to honor the life of Joseph will be held on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Joseph will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery.
