Joyce Ray Fogarty

December 18, 1940 – June 14, 2023

On the evening of June 14th, 2023, Joyce Fogarty peacefully began her journey to the kingdom of Heaven, to receive the welcoming embrace of her Lord and Savior, to be reunited with those who have gone before her, and to smile down with loving grace upon the ones who will miss her until they are rejoined.

Of all the passions in Joyce’s life which ranged from her pets, to video games, on to Tom Jones himself, nothing was more dear to her heart than the love for her family who were her constant reminder of all that was beautiful and precious. For Joyce, true fulfillment in her life was to hear a soft sweet little voice say a single word: Grammy.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond Boehnlein & Edna (Edward) Koebel; sister Dorothy Armes; brother-in-law Hubert Armes; Grandson Gabriel Stiles, Niece Gena Armes; Great-nephew Brandon Bright; and her pets Snuggles, Muffy, Izzy, and Harry the Cat.

Joyce is survived by her children Dana Stiles (Joe), Bobby Fogarty (Lisa), and Dawnette Hale (Jamie); grandchildren Chelsey Mattingly (Channing), Haley West (Brandon), Jared Burton, Creed Stiles, Trinity Snider, Jacob Stiles, Zachary Stiles (Victoria); great-grandchildren Kate Fogarty, Landynn Mattingly, Gavin Mattingly, Mason Mattingly, Harper West, Olivia West, Delilah Stiles, and Piper Stiles.

Services will be held Tuesday, June 20th at Arch L. Heady Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, KY 40218. Visitation will be from 11:00am to 2:00pm, funeral service at 2:00pm, and conclude with a graveside service, where Joyce will be laid to rest in Resthaven Memorial Park, at 3:00pm.
