Joyce Reams Gunter, of Louisville passed away September 22, 2011 at Norton Brownsboro Hospital. She was born April 20, 1939 in Richmond, Kentucky to the late Eugene and Elizabeth Brookshire Reams. She attended the University of Kentucky where she was a member of the Alpha Delta Gamma sorority. She was a volunteer with Springhurst Health and Rehabilitation and a longtime consultant with AVON.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Ralph Struck Gunter.
She is survived by her children; Kim G. Rapp (Joel), Sherry G. Riddell (Dennis) and Debbie G. Rapp (Gary Suell); six grandchildren, Amber and Heather Rapp, Brianna and Trevor Rapp, and Nathan and Nicholas Riddell; and one great-grandson, Aiden Eldridge.
A celebration of her life will be conducted Saturday September 24, 2011 at Noon at Arch L. Heady & Son at Westport Village, 7410 Westport Road with visitation from 10 until service time at the funeral home. Graveside Services will be at 3pm on Saturday at the Richmond Cemetery, 606 East Main Street, Richmond, Kentucky 40475.
