She was born on November 29th, 1954, in Ponca City, Oklahoma, to Delbert and Vera Robison. A graduate of Mary Hardin Baylor University in Belton, Texas, Judy was a special education teacher. Married for 21 years to Steve Powers, the two met and married in 1985 in Big Spring, Texas, before moving to Fort Worth, Texas, where their only child, Marcus Powers, was born in September 1986.
She is preceded in death by both of her parents, her husband, and her father-in-law. She is survived by her son, Marcus Powers, of Houston, Texas, her two sisters Connie Thomas and Donna Williams, her mother-in-law, and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service to celebrate Judy’s life will be held Monday, May 2nd at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home, a 7410 Westport Road, Louisville, KY, 40222. A visitation will be held after the service at her sister's home.
