Katherine H. Moser

Katherine Hermina Eyrisch Grasch Scherzer Moser, 89, of Fairdale, passed away on the morning of April 16, 2012 with her loving family by her side. She was born December 14, 1922 to John Jr. and Anna Eyrisch Grasch who preceded her in death. She graduated from Fairdale High School and Spencerian Business College and had worked in banking. On August 3, 1943 she married Glenn B. Scherzer of Luverne, MN, and they had four children.

She was predeceased by her parents along with siblings; Elizabeth Morehead, Solomon Grasch, John W. Grasch and Marie Steadle. Katherine was also preceded by both of her husbands, Glenn Scherzer in 1960 and Edward W. Moser in 1996.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Glenda (Sherman) Nicol of Marysville, OH; Linda Hayen, Roxanne (Walter) Yocum and Glenn B. (Jean Tinsley) Scherzer II.; grandchildren, Larry Felty of Middleburg, OH; Lorne (Deborah) Hayen, Jennifer (Jim) Humphrey, James (Kim) Hayen, Matthew (Stephanie) Hayen; great-grandchildren, Arthur (Laura) Felty of Ft. Hood, TX; Alec and Andrew Felty of Middleburg, OH; Katie Humphrey, Renee and Nicholas Hayen, Abby and A.J. Hayen, and Cheyenne, Wyatt and Cole Hayen; great-great-grandchildren, Alan Glenn and Larry Antonio Felty, both of Ft. Hood, TX., and her companion of 8 years, Erick R. (Bobby) Spiess, and several nieces and nephews.

Katherine's Celebration of Life service will be on Friday, April 20, 2012 at 2 p.m. at the Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Chapel, 4400 Bardstown Road, with interment in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be on Thursday from 2-8 p.m. and Friday prior to service after 10 am.
