Kenny was a Line foreman with LG & E for 34 years and worked with his son Andy at Gaylor Electric for five years.
He was preceded in death by his infant son; Kenneth Lee Smith Jr., his father who raised him Johnnie O. Smith, and his brother, John Smith Jr.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 49 yrs. Ann (Wessel) Smith, children; Jennifer Lee Mitchell(Randy) and Andy Smith(Lisa), grandchildren; Kenneth Ray Smith(Jennifer), Sargent Ryan Mitchell, Hannah Hughes and Sarah Hughes, great grandson ; Kenneth Levi Smith, brothers; William Smith(Carole) and Jim Smith, and a host of many other family members and friends.
Special thanks to his caring doctor’s Dr. R. Amin, Dr. Aaron Becker and Dr. Rezazadeh, and also to the many nurses that cared for him.
A celebration of Kenny’s life will be held Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at 10am in the chapel of Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home, 8519 Preston Hwy. Louisville, KY 40219 with a private family burial at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery in Radcliff, KY. to follow. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5-8pm at the funeral home.
