Leah Ruth Miles

Miles, Leah Ruth, 86 entered into eternal rest on November 30, 2017. Leah was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Leah attended Highview Baptist Church. She worked the election polls in Highview every year. She was a member of the Fern Creek Homemakers Club where she crafted quilts and other specialty items that were auctioned for various charities. Leah was an avid environmentalist through her recycling and composting. She could be found working in her yard from sun up to sun down and took great pride in a hard day’s work. She also enjoyed watching basketball and NASCAR.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald A. Miles Sr.; and parents, Carl and Ruth Phillips of Wattsburg, PA, brother-in-law Norman Walberg, brother and sister-in-laws William and Mary Miles, and brother-in-law Robert "Shorty" Shaver.

Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, Donald A. Miles Jr. (Lisa), Jeffrey L. Miles (Rhonda), and Keith A. Miles (Darlene); grandchildren, Christin Salsman, Drew A. Miles (Samantha), Cara L. Miles (Tyler), Traci Hardy (Josh), Carrie Rohner (Markus); great grandchildren, Kyla, Kynzie, and Lincoln; sisters, Shirley Walberg and Marlene Tanner; sister-in-law, Shirley Shaver; and several nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service will be Monday, December 4th at 2:00pm at Evergreen Funeral Home. Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00pm-8:00pm at the funeral home. Entombment will be private at the request of the family.

Memorial contributions may be made in Leah’s name to the American Cancer Society or Hosparus.
