Leland Robert Ackerman, 95, of Louisville, passed away January 5, 2022. He was a retired electrician and was a 65 year member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. He was also a member of Hikes Point Christian Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Horace and Myrtle Ackerman; son, Darrell Ackerman; brother, Ralph Ackerman; and his sister, Marilyn Lindquist. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Ackerman; daughter, Lora Shannon; grandchildren, Edie Ackerman, Chad Cureton(Theresa), and Corey Cureton; great-grandchildren, Brayden, Logan, Madeline, Brianna, Ayanna, Steven, Lailianna, and Raiden; brother, Marvin Ackerman; and daughter-in-law, Linda Ackerman.
Funeral service will be 2pm Thursday, January 13, 2022 at Evergreen Funeral Home with entombment in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be 12pm-2pm Thursday at the funeral home. The family requests that family and friends attending the visitation and funeral to please wear a mask.
