Mr. Jones was a member of Parkland Baptist Church. Over the years he was a Deacon of three churches, and he was an avid bowler, bowling up till he was 95 years old.
He is preceded in death by his wife Elsie and his wife Gini; also by one grandson.
His sons, Bobby Jones (Donna) and Dick Pike (Linda); daughters, Sue Calfee (Don) and Nancy Simpson (Charley); 10 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren are left to carry on his memory.
A service celebrating the life of Mr. Jones will be 2 p.m. at Resthaven Funeral Home, 4400 Bardstown Rd. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Bluegrass Memorial in Lexington, Kentucky.
