She was born May 13, 1931 in Louisville, the daughter of Edward F. and Viola (Thompson) Borie. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Robert “Bob” Ray.
Louise had worked as a Secretary at Bob Ray Company, Inc. for many years. She was a big UK fan, an avid bowler and bridge player. She was also a member of the Lyndon Elks Lodge and Kappa Delta Sorority.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Karen Jeffries, Kathy Ray and “Tee” Ray (Toni); grandchildren, Ashley Lanham (Mike), Brian Wallace (Lindsey), Miranda Ray and Georgia Ray; great-grandchildren, Paige Barnett and Bethany Lanham; as well as her twin sister, Carolyn Borie Stevens.
A service to celebrate Louise’s life will be conducted at 10:00 AM Wednesday, September 6, 2017 in the chapel of Arch L. Heady & Son at Westport Village, 7410 Westport Rd. Burial will follow at Cave Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4-7 PM on Tuesday at the funeral home.
In lieu of customary expressions, memorial gifts may be given to Apple Patch, 7408 Hwy. 329, Crestwood, KY 40014.
