Louise worked at Churchill Downs for several years in the food service industry. She loved playing family games, playing cards, going to the casino and to ballgames. She was an avid reader who loved Elvis and enjoyed dressing up for Halloween. She deeply loved her family and her most prized title was "Mamaw."
She is preceded in death by her husband, Ronnie Sturgeon, a grandson, Michael Goins and her parents and siblings.
Louise is survived by her children, Ginny Goins, Becky Evans (Larry), David Sturgeon (Angie), Tommy Sturgeon (Shelley), and brother Donnie Pierce. Grandchildren, Robert Tiffany), Jessica, Michelle (Alex),Mandy(Jeanette),Justin, Stephan(Ashley), Tyler (Kayla), Dillon (Jayme), Maddie, Derek and Renee. Great grandchildren, Jordan, Alexis, Dan, Jaylynn, Kayden, Cambron, Lainey, Barrett, Lyla, Stella and Saraya.
A Life Celebration will be held on Friday, January, 16 2026 at noon at the Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Chapel, 4400 Bardstown Road. A visitation will be on Thursday from 3-8 p.m. and after 10 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home
