She was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Rice, Jr.; and daughter, Beverly Knox.
She is survived by her son, Gerald N. Rice, Sr.; daughter, Sharon R. Holbert; brothers, Dr. Harvey L. Richardson, Joel K. Richardson and Robert K. Richardson; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of Lucille's life will be 10 a.m. Saturday at the O.D. White & Sons Funeral Home, with entombment at Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday, and 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
