Lula Frederick

Lula 'Colvin' Frederick (Elder), 96, passed from this life on 7/20/2016. She was born to Roscoe and Minnie Colvin who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her husband Bill Elder, four sisters and two brothers. She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, LouAnn Schiess, four grandchildren, Joe (Tonya) Schiess, Bonnie Meredith, Kenny (Benita) Schiess and Lisa McCoy, seven great-grandchildren, Richard, Tyler, Jessica, Kayla, Charles, Jacob and Zachary, five 1/2 great-great grandchildren and her very dear friend Bernie Shuler. She also leaves several nieces and nephews whom she loved very much.

She was an active member of the Order of the Eastern Star Purity Chapter #116, having held several offices within her chapter. She was also a member of Loyal Order of the Moose.

Lou had many friends and she cherished them all. She was a loving and giving person to her family and she will be sorely missed by all who loved her.

Many thanks to the Granny Nannies and Brenda for all the love and care they gave to her. She loved you.

Visitation will be Monday July 26, 2016 from 5pm to 8pm at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road. A Funeral Service will be Tuesday at 10 am in Arch L Heady at Resthaven Chapel with interment to follow in Resthaven Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hosparus or a charity of choice.
