

She was born in Louisville, on August 27, 1929 to the late Raymond and Ethel Rains.
Margaret graduated from Louisville Girl's School and Spencerian College.
Having a life long passion for decorating and design, she worked in the family business, Korfhage Florist and Nursery as a floral designer and wedding consultant. Later, she had her own business as a wedding floral designer and home decorator.
She was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church. She was a former member of Sister Cities, The German-American Club, The Fillies, Inc. and The Women's Club Of Louisville.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Carl Raymond Rains and her sister, Aileen Guenther.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Clinton J. Korfhage; her children, Joyce Korfhage-Rhea, Barbara Kennedy (John), Martin Korfhage (Lynne), Richard Korfhage, and Todd Korfhage (Cheryl); her grandchildren, Dr. Shannon Robinson, Andrea Gagnon (Roger), Kim Wilkinson, Bradley Korfhage, Lauren Korfhage, and Alex Korfhage, and her great-grandchildren Drew Palsha, Paige Korfhage, and Shelby Korfhage.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. on Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at St. Paul United Methodist Church, 2000 Douglass Blvd. Burial to follow at Cave Hill Cemetery. Visitation on Tuesday will be 10 a.m. until the service at the church. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. on Monday, January 17, 2011 at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven.
