Marjorie Louella Yates

She was born April 15, 1937 to parents Thomas & Zelma Anderson in Charlestown, Indiana. Marjorie attended and graduated from the Louisville Norton Infirmary School of Nursing in 1957 and was a Registered Nurse. She loved her family and her church. She was of the Protestant Faith. She enjoyed her Houseboat and fishing, and her career as an emergency room nurse. She was also an avid Louisville Cardinal fan. She was a beloved mother and grandmother.

Marjorie is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas & Zelma Anderson; her husband, Robert E. Yates who passed in January of 2002; 2 children, Cheryl and Robert, who passed just a short time before his mom.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, David of Newburgh, Indiana and John of Louisville, Kentucky; 7 grandchildren, 9 great – grandchildren, 1 great – great – grandchild.

Funeral Services will be held in conjunction with her son, Roberts’ Memorial service on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. in the Evergreen Dignity Chapel at the Evergreen Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the Service hour of 12:00 p.m. also at the funeral home.

Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery.
