

Mark VonHoven, 50, affectionately known by his friends as " V. H.", of Louisville, passed away on the morning of October 22, 2011, at Jewish Hospita,l surrounded by his family after transplant surgery. He was a graduate of St. Xavier High School and the University of Louisville where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing. Mark worked for Humana in billing and was a manager at McDonald's. He was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church and loved professional and college sports, and was a huge U of L Cardinal fan.
He was preceded in death by his father, Frederick VonHoven.
Left to cherish his memory are his mother and step-father, Carolyn and Donald Sisco, and his brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Susan VonHoven. Also his loving niece, Jillian Taylor VonHoven and his best buddy, Sheeba, his german shepherd.
The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the staffs of Jewish Hospital and the Dialysis Center for all of their love, care and support given to Mark and his family during this time.
Mark's Celebration of Life service will be held on Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at 2 p.m. at the Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Chapel, 4400 Bardstown Road, with interment in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Monday from 4-8 p.m and Tuesday after 11 a.m.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to the American Diabetes Association or to St. Xavier High School.
