

Marleen Rose Labeste (nee Manibusan), beloved Wife, Mother, Daughter, Sister, Cousin, Niece, and Friend suddenly passed away on Sunday, August 14, 2022, after suffering a series of devastating post-surgery complications.
She is survived by her Husband, Robert Labeste, her Daughter, Malia Grace Labeste, her Parents, Mark and Diana Scharff Manibusan, her Brothers, Mark Jr. and Michael Manibusan and their Children, Cousins and extended Family Members from Guam, Saipan, California, Hawaii, Kentucky, Nevada, Texas, Washington State and across the globe. Marleen was 41 years old.
Marleen was a proud Wife and Mother and cherished her Family, Friends, former Classmates, Neighbors and workplace Colleagues. As a proud Bachelor of Science and Master of Science Degree Holder in Criminal Justice Administration and Alumnus of Chaminade University in Honolulu, HI, Marleen worked as a Probation Officer for the Hawaii State Drug Court in Honolulu, HI before relocating to and working for Walgreens Pharmacy in Las Vegas, NV where she reunited and lived with her Hernandez – Zamora Cousins and their Families for several years. After a whirlwind long-distance online romance, Marleen relocated to New York City where she and Robert welcomed the birth of Malia Grace on September 15, 2011. After separate relocations to Honolulu, HI and Louisville, KY and several years of being a tireless stay-at-home Mom, Marleen rejoined the workforce and served as a dedicated Employee and Public Servant, most recently as an Advanced Medical Support Assistant for the Robley Rex VA Medical Center’s Stonybrook and Shively Community-Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOC’s) in Louisville, KY prior to serving as a Customer Service Representative for the Jefferson County Clerk Office’s Highview Branch in Louisville, KY. Outside her educational and professional careers, Marleen loved without reserve, and her generosity and kindness were limitless. This was well-demonstrated in her superhuman cooking and baking, arts and crafts, custom-made home decoration, and event planning talents.
The Visitation for Marleen is scheduled to take place at Arch L. Heady Funeral Home at Resthaven located at 4400 Bardstown Road in Louisville, KY on Sunday August 21, 2022 from 12 Noon to 4PM Eastern Time. The Funeral Mass for Marleen is scheduled to take place on Monday August 22, 2022 at 10AM Eastern Time at St. Gabriel The Archangel Roman Catholic Church located at 5505 Bardstown Road. All of our Family and Friends are invited to attend.
