Marvin Randall "Randy" Marcum

Marvin Randall “Randy” Marcum, 65, Louisville, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, January 2, 2025. He was born on September 26, 1959, to the late Marvin and Alice “Geneva” Marcum. Randy was a 1977 graduate of DuPont Manual High School. After high school, Randy worked at General Electric for 35 years before retiring in 2019. During his time at GE, he was a member of the union and played on a company softball team. He was a member of Bethel Flock Baptist Church. Randy was an avid fan of the Cincinnati Bengals, Cincinnati Reds, and University of Louisville Athletics. Randy was extremely generous and had a wonderful sense of humor, he will be greatly missed.

In addition to his parents, Randy is preceded in death by his brother; Ronnie Marcum, and sister; Debbie Mann.

Left to cherish Randy’s memory are his children; Rebecca Marcum (Trey), Rachel Benzinger (Grant), and Joseph Marcum (Lynsey), grandchildren; Beau, Reid, Asher, and Silas, brothers; Roger Marcum (Tina) and Rick Marcum, and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and loving friends.

A Celebration of Life for Randy will take place Friday, January 10, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Evergreen Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Thursday, January 9, 2025, at Evergreen Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
