She was preceded in death by her mother, Lavern Kope and her brother, Joseph Knight, Jr.
Cherishing her memory is her loving husband of 47 years, George R. Johnson; daughter, Pam (Tim) Peake; granddaughters, Janet (Aaron) Young and Sara (Joey) Salerno; great-grandchildren, Eli and Rylee Young, and Brooklyn Salerno.
A Life Celebration will be held on Thursday, July 18, 2013, at 10 a.m. at the Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Chapel, 4400 Bardstown Road, with entombment in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be on Wednesday, from 2-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family wishes to thank the staff at the Hosparus Inpatient Center for all of their care and support during their time of need.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to Hosparus of Louisville, or the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
