Mary Frances (Flaherty) Decker

Mary Frances (Flaherty) Decker,85, passed away peacefully on May 24th, 2025 in her home surrounded by family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years Harold Decker and three of her children, Rhonda, Gary and David Decker.

Mary worked many years in the banking industry. Starting her career at Liberty Bank, moving to Bank One and finalizing her career as a relationship banker at Chase Bank. Floating from multiple bank locations, Mary made many friends and never met a stranger. After her "retirement" she went on to become a teacher's assistant at Shelby County Schools, which brought great joy to her heart.

Mary always said her greatest achievement was her children. Through them she made many more friends who loved her deeply. She had a full life and never turned down an invitation to an outing. She will be greatly missed by all. Although our hearts are heavy, we rejoice knowing she will be reunited with her husband Harold and her children David, Gary and sweet Rhonda.

Mary is survived by her three children, son, Rick (Melissa), two daughters, Denise (James), Cheryl (Mike); 11 grandchildren, Laura, Ryan, Derek, Mandi, Brooke, Molly, Brandy, David, Taylor, Kaden and Mary Addison; Nine great grandchildren, Kendall, Jake, Jaxon, Devon, Isabel, Devyn, Lila, Keith and Kade; and much wanted and loved twins to come. Last but not least her Fur-ever baby Lily who never left her side and protected her fiercely.

Per her wishes, no funeral service will be held. A celebration of Life will be held at a future date.
