Mary Bernadette (Coyle) Downs, 81 of Louisville, Kentucky passed away Saturday, August 29, 2015 with her family by her side. She was retired from G.E., a member of St. Rita Catholic Church, Parents without Partners, The Moose Lodge and the VFW Post in Okolona.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 30 years Donald L. Downs.
Left to cherish her memory are her children; James Downs (June), Donald J. Downs(Kim), Kenny Downs, Donna M. Casey(Steve), Bobby Downs(Debbie), fifteen grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and a sister; Sister Theresa L. Coyle s.l.
The family would like to offer special thanks to Sissy Lehr and Ann Giles for the care they gave Mary.
A funeral mass will be held Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at 10:00am at St. Rita Catholic Church, 8709 Preston Hwy. Louisville, KY 40219 with burial to follow in Hebron Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 1-8pm and Wednesday after 9am at Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home in Okolona. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Hosparus (Hospice) of Louisville.
