Mary "Rusty" Hartung

Mary “Rusty” Hartung, 85, passed away peacefully on July 12, 2018, surrounded by her loved ones. Mary was retired from Dispensers Optical. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She always loved having her hands in the soil producing the most beautiful garden. She was preceded in death by her infant sons, Clifford, Clinton and Charles; former spouse, Norbert Hartung; and son-in-law, John S. Spurlin.

Left to cherish Rusty's memory are her daughters, Joan Spurlin, Carol Bargatze (Stephen) of Hermitage, TN, Mary Koppel (Jerry), Judy Hooper (Jim) of Lebanon, TN, and Sandra Stine; son, James L. Hartung (Lea) of Humble, TX; 12 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren; and sister, Anna Turner of Asheville, NC and her furry companion, Lola.

The Funeral Service will be Tuesday, July 17, 2018, at 12:00 pm at Evergreen Dignity Memorial Chapel with burial immediately following at St. Michael's Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 2:00 pm - 8:00 pm at the funeral home.

Memorial gifts may be made to Kindred Hospice of Nashville or Lebanon Senior Citizens Center.
