In addition to her parents, Mary is preceded in death by the love of her life, Paul E. Minter, two brothers Frank Simpson & Donald Simpson, & her sister Ella Simpson Randall. Mary spent her entire life devoted to Highview Baptist Church where she served in many different areas. She graduated from Southern High School in 1954, & began a secretarial position at GE, where she served as a dedicated employee for the next 30 years. She thoroughly enjoyed her career at GE & for a number of years, she also enjoyed working as a licensed Mary Kay consultant. She was passionate about dancing & golfing, loved traveling with her sweetheart, Paul, to many beautiful destinations around the globe, gardening, cooking for her family, making her delicious blackberry cobblers & spending time with her children, grandchildren & great grandchildren. The bond we shared with her was incredibly special. She was a beacon of sweetness & joy in every moment of our family's lives, & her love touched us all in many ways. Nana was loaned to us by our Heavenly Father for a brief time & we will always remember her grace, love & humility, & the beautiful legacy she left for US.
The family would like to thank the wonderful caregivers at Sanders Ridge for taking such great care of Nana. She loved her sweet & caring ladies & they loved her right back.
