Mary Lucille Simpson “Weegie”, 92, of South Louisville was born on February 24, 1925 to the late Jesse and Mary (Moore) Crawford and passed from this life on Friday November 24, 2017 at Baptist Health. Mary was a retired waitress for the old Merry Go Round for several years. She was preceded in death by a grand daughter, Sally; and grandsons, Daniel and Joseph. Left to cherish her memory is her daughter Linda Daniels; sons, Samuel Simpson (Wendy), and Johnny Simpson (Dianne); a sister Joyce Roberts; a brother Richard Crawford; 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. A service to celebrate Mary’s life will be held at noon Wednesday in the Southern Chapel of Arch L. Heady & Son, 3601 Taylor Blvd. with burial to follow in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be from 2-8 pm on Tuesday. Memorial gifts may be made to the Downs Syndrome of Louisville or the Alzheimer’s Association.
