Merle Cecil "Andy" Anderson, 95, of Louisville, passed away peacefully on the evening of March 24, 2013 at the Hurstbourne Care Center, surrounded by his loving family. He was a native of Gilfoyle, PA and a retiree of General Electric. He was Past Master twice of Jeffersontown Masonic Lodge #774 F. & A.M. and a member and Past Grand Patron of Amaranth. He loved to garden and play golf along with traveling with his wife, Mary, all over the United States. A favorite time was spending Christmas eve with family and friends as well as family re-unions. He can be described as a very caring and loving man and a good father and husband.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 72 years, Mary Stewart Anderson; children, Pat (Tom) Beckman, Bob (Judi) and Keith (Pat) Anderson; grandchildren, Brian (Anita), Donna (Wayne), April, Erick (Mindy), Kyle (Shannon), Nancy (Ricki), Bobby and Katie (Chris); and ten great-grandchildren.
A Life Celebration service will be held on Thursday, March 28, 2013 at 2 p.m. at the Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Chapel, 4400 Bardstown Road, with interment in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 2-8 p.m. and after 10 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
