I first met Mike E Pence at outer loop Kroger. He was rude ,crude said some unacceptable things sometimes. But I found him quite funny and I liked him. We are Cat fans he loved the Cards and Denny. So hilarious when we found out he was the Mike E Pence on sports radio 680. Always enjoyed talking about the Boss and how many concerts he had attended way over 100 I’m sure. Plus the books he read. When I hear Bruce Springsteen I think of Mike. I know how much he loved his family he never failed to mention.

So sorry to hear of passing of Mike. I worked with him at the old Dixie  store. He made being around him so fun. You could hear him from the other side of the store.....lol. Great guy.  RIP Mike

Mike was a wonderful person. I was one of his customers for years. On my worse day I would go into his place of business and he would have me leaving laughing and smiling. You could hear him singing as he worked. I called him my friend, and my friend will be sadly missed .

I'm so very sorry to see this news about Mike.   As I have scrolled past all these great pictures the family and friends have shared shows Mike and his fun personality, love of life and a good time.  My condolences to the Pence Family and all who loved him.

I'm so sorry to hear about Mike. I worked with him at Kroger and also went to High School with him. We were good friends for many years. This breaks my heart.He will always be remembered and hold a place in my heart. Fly high Mike until we meet again.  Your friend Lori Paulley Simpson

I’m so sorry for your loss. Mike was truly one of a kind, and I feel lucky to have known him.
 
I met Mike when I was about 19, just starting at Kroger and a few months pregnant. He was my first friend there, and we kept that friendship going the five years I worked there. We’d bicker about horror trivia and see who knew more about movies. We’d compete over who had the best horror shirt — and I’ll always laugh thinking of him showing up in that “Just the Tip” Michael Myers shirt.
 
Everyone knew how much he loved Bruce Springsteen. I’ll always remember hearing him singing at the top of his lungs before the store opened. He never cared what anyone thought, and that made him so fun and easy to be around. He had one of the brightest auras I’ve ever seen. I honestly can’t remember seeing him have a bad day — but if you were having one, he’d turn it around.
 
Even after I left Kroger, Mike found a way to stay in touch. When Halloween Ends came out, he tracked me down to ask if I’d go see it with him. He promised he wouldn’t cheap out — he’d get me some Charleston Chews (the $1 box, of course!) and maybe some popcorn. That was Mike — funny, thoughtful, and just a beautiful person.
 
He definitely made his mark on the world, and on me. I hope it brings a little comfort to know how much he meant to so many of us.

I am sorry to hear this. My condolences to his family and friends.

One of the brightest smiles the world has ever known!   It is heartbreaking when the joyful are called home yet the Lord urges us to take heart in knowing that eternal grace awaits. 
May God gather his family in love and wrap them in comfort ❤️🙏 - they are truly wonderful people.  
I pray that Mike will shoot hoops with Denny as Springsteen is harped by the angels.
