Michelle was born in Louisville to the late Martha France and Ronald Winburn. She was a 16 year veteran of the Air Force and worked as an IT Engineer for Tata Consultancy Services Limited following her military service. Michelle loved the Lord and was a member of The Potters House in Fort Worth, Texas.
Her Air Force career was one with many accomplishments. She served as a Professional Military Training Instructor where she trained over 5,000 Basic Military Training recruits on the foundation of military esprit de corps, discipline, and combat-readiness with fellow instructors. She held various Non-commissioned Officer in Charge positions, to include Complaints and Inquiries Investigator for the Office of the Inspector General. During her tour as an investigator, she served as the single point of contact for 35,000 military personnel regarding fraud, waste, and abuse complaints and inquiries, managed compliance inspections, and resolved hundreds of audits findings. She distinguished herself by meritorious service and earned medals from demonstrating leadership by example, excellence, and commitment to Air Force standards. She fought to overcome adversity and mental and physical hardships experienced from multiple deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan. Despite her intense deployment schedule, she earned an Associate’s of Applied Science in Social Services and completed a Bachelor’s of Science in Business with a concentration in Management at the conclusion of her military service.
She was a loving mother to her children Christopher J Stewart and Leilani S. Stewart; and is also survived by her sisters Savella G. Hardin (Maurice), Elizabeth A. Alfaro (Steven), and Deatra A.
