Mildred Pauline Grissom 85, passed away Saturday after a long illness. She was a native of Mount Vernon, TN. She was a member of Auburn Dale Church of Christ, and Ladies Auxiliary of Shawnee Post 193. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cancel, her daughter; Virginia Ann Betsekas, her 3 brothers, and 3 sisters.
She is survived by her son; George Grissom (Nora), her grandchildren; Allen Pelly, Donald Grissom (Ildico), and John Grissom (Amie), and her great grandchild; Benjamin Grissom. Her sisters; Moline Griffith, Juanita Cherry, Charla Gayle Reeser, Kathy Tuck, and Robbie Cooke.
A service to celebrate Mildred's life will be held at Noon on Wednesday in the chapel of Arch L. Heady-Cralle Funeral Home, 2428 Frankfort Avenue, with interment at Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-8 pm. Tuesday, and after 10 am Wednesday.
The family wishes to thank the Parkway Medical Center, and staff for the loving care they provided over the years.
