She was the former Minnie Nunn a native of Cadiz, KY, a retired cosmetologist for Nunn Barber and Beauty Salon, and a member of Bethel-St. Paul Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert Walter.
She is survived by many nieces, nephews and her extended church family and friends.
A service to celebrate Mrs. Walter's life will be held at noon Monday in the Southern Chapel of Arch L. Heady & Son, 3601 Taylor Blvd. Interment will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Sunday.
