

She was born on September 30 in Louisville, Kentucky, to Larry and Brenda Greenlee Stettenbenz. She attended Fern Creek High School, where she was President of the National Honor Society and Most Likely to Succeed. She graduated from Hanover College in Hanover, Indiana, Magna Cum Laude, where she was named Outstanding Independent Senior Woman. She attended Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, and graduated from University of Louisville (KY) with a Master of Business Administration degree. She was employed by Sanofi Pharmaceuticals as a Senior Executive Sales Associate. She actively served St. Luke’s Church as a loyal chorister and member of the Vestry as well as serving on the Flower Guild. She actively advocated for research, awareness and legislation in her work for OAK and OCRA, locally and in Washington, D.C. She had a loving marriage to Joel Layton, was a proud mother of Amber Layton Baldwin (Casey) and James Thomas Layton and was a doting grandmother to Leighton William Baldwin.
She is survived by her adoring brother, Thomas Jay Stettenbenz (Lauren) and several nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law of whom she was very fond.
Visitation will be Friday evening January 5, 5:00-7:00 p.m. at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 1206 Maple Lane, Anchorage, Kentucky 40223.
The Funeral Service will be Saturday, January 6 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Luke’s, officiated by The Rev. Benjamin Hart assisted by The Rev. Anne Harris.
Committal and Interment will immediately follow the Saturday service in the St. Luke’s Memorial Garden.
A reception will follow the church service Saturday morning at Board Hall at the church. All are invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are requested to OAK (Ovarian Awareness of Kentucky), 2440 Grinstead Drive, Louisville, KY 40204, or to St. Luke’s Church Music Ministry.
