Nancy Marie Baize

Nancy was a homemaker and worked for Walgreens across the country as she served as a Career Army Wife. She was always prepared for everything, important meetings, arranging dinners for all the wives, spit shining Bill's shoes and starching his uniforms to perfection. Nancy took care of everything while Bill served our country. She was a proud member of the Auxiliary Highland Park Lodge #865.

Nancy was preceded in death by her daughter, Malinda Marie Busam; grandparents, Otis and Mallie Durham; and father, James Durham.

Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 69 years, Bill "Colonel"; son, David; adopted Vietnamese children, Hue and Loung; 6 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great grandchildren; friends from the Auxiliary Highland Park Lodge #865; and her wonderful caregivers, Marlene, Toyna, and Elizabeth.

Visitation for Nancy will be Wednesday, June 4, 2025 from 3:00pm to 7:00pm at Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home - Okolona, 8519 Preston Highway, 40219. The Funeral Service will Thursday, June 5, 2025 at 10:30am with burial immediately following at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central, 2501 N Dixie Blvd, 40160.
