Ollie Jane Baker

Ollie Jane was a founding member of Our Mother of Sorrows Church. She was a registered nurse who worked until she was 75 years of age.

Ollie Jane is preceded in death by her husband, Joe Baker; sister, Aileen Cooper; brother, Russ Allen; and beloved great-granddaughter, Paige Wimsatt.

She is survived by her children, Paul Baker (Vickie), Mark Baker, Larry Baker and Linda Baker; her grandchildren who idolized their mamaw, Denise, Gary, Jeff, Kirk, Eric, Chris, Josh, Derrick, Katie and Megan; 17 great-grandchildren; two nephews; two nieces; and son-in-law, Joe Wimsatt (Kim).

Ollie Jane was loved and admired by everyone who ever met her.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Evergreen Funeral Home, 4623 Preston Hwy., with entombment to follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1-8 p.m. Tuesday and from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

The family of Ollie Jane Baker wants to give special thanks to the staff of Sacred Heart Village for the great care they gave to Ollie Jane.
