He retired from the US Navy and was a member of the VFW Post 1181.
Mr. Franks was preceded in rest by his wife, Patricia.
He is survived by his daughters, Lisa Midgett and Tina Maxwell (Malcolm); a son, Robert Franks; four grandchildren, Erica Hilliard, Keren Rosenfield, Frank Maxwell and Robert "Bobby" Tanner; and several great-grandchildren; a brother, Len Franks; and a sister, Martha Busbee.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions the services will be private.
