She worked in the financial clerical field, having worked for Citizens Bank and NPC for many years. Pat was also a member of the Woodmen of the World, a Kentucky Colonel, and she was very proud of being a past President of the PTA at James Russell Lowell Elementary School, and past President of the Women's Division of the Louisville Safety Council.
Pat was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Eugene Carlisle; her sister, Sara Shain; brother, Fred Nicholson; and a great-granddaughter, Jayla Woodson.
She is survived by her son, Michael Eugene Carlisle (Terry); daughter, Gayle Hoskinson (Gary); brother, Tom "Skip" Wood; four grandchildren, Jennifer Calhoun, Jeremiah Carlisle (Hye Muncy), Benjamin Carlisle, and Lauren Woodson (Jason); and by two great-grandchildren, Kellyn and Bella Woodson.
A celebration of her life will be conducted on Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at 10:00 am at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road with interment in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 2-8 pm on Monday at the funeral home.
